From 41 eligible films that were submitted to BAFTA for consideration, Larry Achiampong’s Wayfinder (that I worked on in 2022) has been long listed in the Outstanding Debut by A British Writer, Director or Producer category.
A huge achievement for the whole crew and especially Larry Achiampong.
Project film for Somang Lee’s - The Living Line.
The Living Line is a site-specific commission by East London-based illustrator Somang Lee. It visualises the plants, birds and insects that can be discovered along the route of The Line, encouraging people to explore the wealth of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and along the waterways.
The project was commissioned by The Line.
Art on the Underground present Larry Achiampong’s new permanent public artwork at Westminster Underground Station in London.
PAN AFRICAN FLAG FOR THE RELIC TRAVELLERS’ ALLIANCE (UNION) re-imagines the London Underground roundel with Achiampong’s own design.
‘Achiampong’s new version replaces the traditional red and blue design with Pan African colours that speak symbolically to African diasporic identities while also acknowledging their contributions and presence in London. Green, black and red reflect the land, the people and the struggles the African continent has endured, while yellow-gold represents a new day and prosperity. He incorporates 54 stars arranged around the edge of the roundel, representing each of the 54 countries of the African continent joined in union.’
I was lucky enough to be invited to the install during engineering hours Midnight - 4am to document the process of this historic day coming together, as well as document the final work.

Menswear, curry, beer, the perfect collab?
That’s just what Universal Works and Bundobust have done with their mates at Hip Store in Leeds.
We produced a short vid to show off the collection and Future Friendship Project initiative, which sees Universal Works connecting with, and working alongside brands and companies that share their authentic vision of Peace, Love and Soul.
Another collaboration with Sound Artist and Composer Jason Singh for Selfridges’s Garden Centre virtual event.
Using bio data from a selection of plants, four immersive pieces were created and mastered in binaural audio by David McEwan. Accompanied with inspired visuals created in the Artist’s home by myself.

Our Everyday Superstars project invited audiences to nominate extra-special individuals from the city; calling for activists, campaigning for social change, supporters of young people, individuals who have accomplished in the face of adversity, or simply who have amazing talents worthy of recognition.
The nominations were made and Nadia Latoya was announced as our winner. Nadia was styled and photographed by Hassan Hajjaj and now her portrait hangs in the gallery alongside Hajjaj’s other Rock Stars as part of the exhibition The Path which showcases colour, community & culture and creativity.’
‘Val’s Gym’', a short documentary I made in 2015 will be show at the ICA, London and Bluecoat, Liverpool as part of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2016.
Derbyshire Gym owner Val Lawrence has committed his life to fitness and personal training for over 25 years. The gym in Heanor was build from the ground up by Val with help from others in the community. The rough and ready gym, along with Val's dedication and knowledge has provided many with life changing results.
Val turns 70 next year...
